We are pleased to announce that HDEAA as part of EWAO successfully reached a deal yesterday afternoon at the Provincial Bargaining table and as such we now have a tentative Central Agreement.
We are currently arranging the ratification process for HDEAA members where you will learn the details of our new deal and be able to vote on its acceptance.
This agreement was hard fought and brings us peace of mind from knowing that there will not be any further labour disruptions for the next few years.
In addition, we are also able to state that we have successfully negotiated a tentative remedy payment agreement for HDEAA members arising from our successful Bill 124 court challenge. Details regarding this payment will also be shared at our ratification meetings.
Congratulations to all of you. We could not have reached these agreements without your patience and incredible support when conversations on Benefits hit an impasse at the central table. Your strike mandate made a difference!
